Chamber Círculo
Temporada 2024-25
In October we will inaugurate the VI season of Círculo de Cámara. This year we will count again with one of the most renowned pianists of our time, Elisabeth Leonskaja. The program also includes the pianist and conductor Christian Zacharias, who will participate in this edition together with the Leipzig Quartet, one of the most versatile ensembles of today.
The South African Kristian Bezuidenhout is one of the most remarkable and exciting keyboard artists of today, who performs with equal fluency on the piano forte, the harpsichord and the modern piano and who will present pieces by Schubert at Círculo de Cámara. We will also attend the presentation in Spain of the very young Russian pianist, based in Germany, Alexander Malofeev and the young French pianist Arielle Beck, both representatives of the 21st century piano scene.
Founded in 2007, the Notos Quartet is a quartet with piano of international reference of the chamber music circuit that will participate with pieces by Mozart, Schumann and Brahms. A classic in the program, the Trio Arbós & Friends, will once again accompany us with their series dedicated to put live music to great classics of silent films. The Armida Quartet with Sabine Meyer on clarinet will offer us Brahms' Quintet for clarinet and we will also have Concerto 1700 accompanied by soprano Ana Viera Leite.
Mario Brunello, winner of the International Tchaikovsky Competition in 1986, will offer Bach's Sonatas and Partitas. The cycle will end with the participation of two of the great figures of current musical interpretation, Mischa Maisky, cello with Martha Argerich at the piano.
